A special purpose vehicle holding student accommodation properties across Salford entered creditors' voluntary liquidation on 26 May 2026, with joint liquidators appointed that day from Turpin Barker Armstrong. A creditors' voluntary liquidation is an insolvent winding-up resolved by the company's members without a court order.
Salford One SPV Limited was incorporated on 4 March 2016 and operated, according to its own filing, as a special purpose vehicle for the acquisition and letting of properties used as student accommodation. Its registered office is at 123 Wellington Road South, Stockport, Cheshire. The company was originally incorporated as Liverpool One Spv Limited, a name it carried until 6 May 2016.
The liquidators
Martin C Armstrong (IP No. 6212) and Andrew R Bailey (IP No. 18810), both of Turpin Barker Armstrong of Weybridge, Surrey, were appointed joint liquidators by the members and creditors. An IP number is the licence number issued to an individual insolvency practitioner by their recognised professional body. Armstrong and Bailey will realise the company's assets and distribute proceeds to creditors in the order set out by insolvency law.
Secured charges
Five registered charges held by OneSavings Bank PLC remain outstanding at the point of liquidation. All five were created in August 2016 and each covers an individual residential property in Salford used as student accommodation. The properties are 8 Haddon Street, Salford M6 6BN; 27 Gerald Road, Salford M6 6DW; 40 Mildred Street M7 2HG; 39 Mildred Street M7 2HG; and 19 Oak Road, Salford M7 2HP. As a secured creditor, OneSavings Bank PLC holds charges over those specific assets and ranks ahead of unsecured creditors when sale proceeds are distributed.

Common questions
Are you owed money by Salford One Spv Limited?
In a creditors' voluntary liquidation you are an unsecured creditor unless you hold a registered charge or retention of title. The liquidators will write to known creditors with a proof-of-debt form. A statement of affairs prepared by the directors and the chair of the creditors' decision procedure should be available on request. Read more about proof of debt and where you sit in the creditor hierarchy.
Did you work at Salford One Spv Limited?
In a CVL, employees are typically dismissed at or shortly after the liquidator's appointment. Wages owed up to a statutory cap, holiday pay, notice pay and redundancy may be claimable from the Redundancy Payments Service. The liquidators will normally provide RP1 case-reference numbers to the affected staff. See gov.uk: your rights if your employer is insolvent.
Do you hold a deposit, gift card or undelivered order from Salford One Spv Limited?
Customers with paid-but-undelivered orders, gift cards or deposits rank as unsecured creditors in the liquidation. Where you paid by credit card and the amount was over £100, Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 may let you claim from the card issuer for breach of contract or misrepresentation by the supplier; the rules apply per item, not per transaction, and the card must be a regulated credit card. Debit-card payments may be recoverable via chargeback.
Are you a director of a company connected to Salford One Spv Limited?
Section 216 of the Insolvency Act 1986 applies the moment the company enters liquidation. If you intend to be involved in another company using the same or a similar name within five years, you must rely on one of the three statutory exceptions and file the relevant notice. Acting in breach is a criminal offence and exposes you to personal liability for the successor's debts.
