Brick Builder Limited, a South London construction and labour-hire company registered in SE27, has been placed into compulsory liquidation following a winding-up order issued by the High Court in case number 001641 of 2026. Compulsory liquidation is the process by which a court order formally winds up a company and vests its assets in a liquidator for distribution to creditors.
The petition that triggered the order was filed on 4 March 2026, according to the notice published in the London Gazette on 6 June 2026. The company's registered office is at 48 Eylewood Road, London, SE27 9NA.
What the company did
Brick Builder Limited carried on three registered trade activities: development of building projects, other building completion and finishing work, and temporary employment agency activities. The last of these reflects a labour-hire element to the business, placing construction workers with clients alongside its direct building operations.
The company was incorporated on 31 March 2023 under the name UK Buildup Ltd and changed its name to Brick Builder Limited on 12 January 2024. Its most recent accounts, made up to 31 March 2025, were filed as a micro-entity, the smallest reporting category under UK company law. No secured charges were registered against the company at Companies House.
The directors
Three directors passed through the company during its short life. Iulian Arsith was appointed at incorporation on 31 March 2023 and resigned on 27 November 2023. Sergiu-Alin Cristea was appointed on 27 November 2023 and resigned on 12 January 2024, the same date the company changed its name. Avgoustinos Korres was appointed on 12 January 2024 and held the directorship at the time of the winding-up order, with no resignation recorded at Companies House.
What happens next
With the winding-up order made, the Official Receiver, a civil servant of the Insolvency Service, automatically takes office as liquidator. The Official Receiver will investigate the company's affairs and, if sufficient assets exist, creditors may then nominate a licensed insolvency practitioner to take over the role. Creditors wishing to submit a claim should contact the Official Receiver's office and file a proof of debt, the formal claim form evidencing the amount owed to them.
Common questions
Are you owed money by Brick Builder Limited?
The court has placed the company in compulsory liquidation. The Official Receiver typically takes office as liquidator unless creditors nominate a licensed insolvency practitioner. Submit your claim using the Official Receiver's online proof-of-debt service or by post; details appear on the case page at gov.uk/insolvency-service. Read more about proof of debt.
Did you work at Brick Builder Limited?
On a winding-up order, employees are usually dismissed immediately. Wages owed up to a statutory cap, holiday pay, notice pay and redundancy may be claimable from the Redundancy Payments Service. The Official Receiver will provide RP1 case-reference numbers and the date of insolvency you need to start the claim. See gov.uk: your rights if your employer is insolvent.
Do you hold a deposit, gift card or undelivered order from Brick Builder Limited?
Customers rank as unsecured creditors in the liquidation. Where you paid by credit card and the amount was over £100, Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 may let you claim from the card issuer for breach of contract or misrepresentation by the supplier; the rules apply per item, not per transaction, and the card must be a regulated credit card. Debit-card payments may be recoverable via chargeback.
Are you a director of a company connected to Brick Builder Limited?
Section 216 of the Insolvency Act 1986 applies the moment the winding-up order is made. If you intend to be involved in another company using the same or a similar name within five years, you must rely on one of the three statutory exceptions. The Official Receiver also has a statutory duty to investigate director conduct and report under the Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986.
