The High Court sealed a winding-up order against Star Cleanix Ltd, a Hounslow-based cleaning and construction services company, following a petition filed on 6 March 2026 under case number 001614 of 2026. The order places the company into compulsory liquidation, a court-imposed process distinct from a voluntary winding-up, in which a liquidator realises the company's assets and distributes the proceeds to creditors.
Star Cleanix Ltd is registered at Joylon House, Amberley Way, Hounslow, TW4 6BH. Its activities cover general construction of residential and non-residential buildings, general cleaning of buildings, and other building and industrial cleaning. The company was incorporated on 17 December 2013.
A brief name change
Companies House records show the company traded briefly as Star and Star Construction Ltd between 28 June 2024 and 3 July 2024, before reverting to Star Cleanix Ltd. The name change lasted five days.
The company had previously faced a compulsory strike-off action, which was discontinued in April 2024, before the winding-up petition was filed the following year.
The directors
Savio Selvino Fernandes is the current director, appointed on 29 March 2023. Two former directors appear on the Companies House record: Muhammad Riaz Chaudhry, who served from 7 November 2014 until 29 March 2023, and Olesea Strelciuc, who held the role from incorporation on 17 December 2013 until 29 March 2023. Both Chaudhry and Strelciuc resigned on the date Fernandes was appointed.

No secured charges are registered against Star Cleanix Ltd at Companies House.
What happens next
On most winding-up orders, the Official Receiver, a civil servant of the Insolvency Service, takes office automatically as liquidator. The Official Receiver investigates the company's affairs and, where assets exist, creditors may nominate a licensed insolvency practitioner to take over the role. The company's most recent accounts were made up to 31 December 2024, with the next set due by 30 September 2026, though the liquidation process will now govern how the company's affairs are concluded.
The winding-up order was published in the London Gazette on 6 June 2026.
Common questions
Are you owed money by Star Cleanix Limited?
The court has placed the company in compulsory liquidation. The Official Receiver typically takes office as liquidator unless creditors nominate a licensed insolvency practitioner. Submit your claim using the Official Receiver's online proof-of-debt service or by post; details appear on the case page at gov.uk/insolvency-service. Read more about proof of debt.
Did you work at Star Cleanix Limited?
On a winding-up order, employees are usually dismissed immediately. Wages owed up to a statutory cap, holiday pay, notice pay and redundancy may be claimable from the Redundancy Payments Service. The Official Receiver will provide RP1 case-reference numbers and the date of insolvency you need to start the claim. See gov.uk: your rights if your employer is insolvent.
Do you hold a deposit, gift card or undelivered order from Star Cleanix Limited?
Customers rank as unsecured creditors in the liquidation. Where you paid by credit card and the amount was over £100, Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 may let you claim from the card issuer for breach of contract or misrepresentation by the supplier; the rules apply per item, not per transaction, and the card must be a regulated credit card. Debit-card payments may be recoverable via chargeback.
Are you a director of a company connected to Star Cleanix Limited?
Section 216 of the Insolvency Act 1986 applies the moment the winding-up order is made. If you intend to be involved in another company using the same or a similar name within five years, you must rely on one of the three statutory exceptions. The Official Receiver also has a statutory duty to investigate director conduct and report under the Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986.
